JEFFERSON COUNTY - The coroner's office identified Friday the man who was killed Thursday when a 4.500-pound steel safe fell off a dolly and crushed him.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the man as 41-year-old Donald Lindsey.

Investigators say Lindsey was helping to move the safe into a room inside the bank branch when it tipped and pinned him against the door.

"They were trying to get it through the door and move it around the room to the right spot they wanted it and ended up tipping it and it got away from him," Bill Maron, an investigator with the West Metro Fire Department, said.

West Metro Fire says it happened at 11 a.m. at the Chase Bank branch on Ken Caryl Avenue near Shaffer Parkway.

Authorities say Lindsey did not die right away.

Three or four other people were trapped inside the room because the door was blocked by the safe.

Investigators say the new safe is 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide.

With the safe blocking the door, firefighters had to find another way to get the other people out.

According to West Metro Fire, they cut through a wall to get to the victim, but found he had already died.

Crews also had to cut through another wall to get to the people trapped inside the room.

Authorities say the Chase branch does not have a vault, only safes. The new safe was an upgrade and a larger size.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies and OSHA agents are both involved in the investigation.

Firefighters say Lindsey worked for Security and Safe of Colorado.

9NEWS talked to other local experts in the field and they say they have never heard of anything like this happening before in Colorado. However, president of Denver's Master Security Center, Lenny Guida, says they face this scary reality daily.

Guida says they often have three to four people moving one safe.

"If a safe starts going, we tell everyone, 'You never try to stop it. You just get out of the way. You don't try to catch it,'" Guida said.

The expert showed 9NEWS how employees at Master Security Center attempt to move safes that weigh thousands of pounds. He says they typically use dollies and then lift the safe up with a hydraulic lifting mechanism. Guida says often the trouble comes when workers start to lift the safes because they are top heavy and tend to tip over.

How the music industry is changing and continues to change and why for someone like you, this is the absolute best time for you to take advantage of those changes, no matter what your genre of music may be, your skill level or your position ( example: artist, executive, musician, etc.),

Why major artist like John Cougar Mellencamp, Prince, Madonna, Jay Z, Radio Head, 50 Cent, The Dixie Chicks, Amy Whinehouse, Camron and others are no realizing that their exposure and reach on the Internet is even more valuable then any other type of exposure that they can get... And why YOU should adopt this same way of thinking and how doing so can put huge amounts of money in your pocket.

How using the Internet to promote your music related business, music and/or career can lead to extreme, even world wide recognition with clients and fans all over the world, not to mention more sales of your CDs, MP3s and video downloads then you would have ever thought possible in the "old" music industry.

America, Canada , all Europe ..... needs a President like this

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians'.

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'. 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture..'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom,

 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

Maybe if we circulate this , American citizens will find the backbone to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

If you agree, let others read this blog.

The one thing most people don't know about me is that I am a shy soul but I play it off pretty well. I had a radio interview this past Saturday with Joyce Coffman in Alabama at 4:30 my time. The closer it got to the time the more some what nervous I became, yet no one would have ever known. Lol! Below is Joyce's words to me.

Joyce Coffman commented on your wall post:

"Maybe that's why God gives talent to humble people, because some of us would never shut up. You are a gracious lady with a unique sound and quiet presence.  So quiet I hope the listeners heard you and I love your vocal range. Keep on keeping on and may God continue to bless and keep you. Lol"

jlm-stars-hollywood-sign

/TheSignInTheMovies.

The Hollywood Sign is a famous landmark in the Hollywood Hills area of Mount Lee in Los Angeles, California, spelling out the name of the area in 45-foot (14 m) tall white letters. It was created as an advertisement in 1923, but garnered increasing recognition after the sign was left up. The sign was a frequent target of pranks and vandalism but has since undergone restoration, including a security system to deter vandalism. The sign is protected and promoted by the Hollywood Sign Trust, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to physically maintain, repair and secure the sign, to educate the world about its historical and cultural importance, and to raise the funds necessary to accomplish these projects.

From the ground, the contours of the hills give the sign its well-known "wavy" appearance. When observed at a comparable altitude, as in the photo to the right, the letters appear straight-across.

The sign makes frequent appearances in popular culture, particularly in establishing shots for films and television programs set in or around Hollywood,

the most popular games on Facebook^_^ -wow power leveling

Throughout life, we rely on small groups of people for love, admiration, respect, moral support and help. Less than a year ago, veteran strategy game designer (Civilization II, Rise Of Nations) Brian Reynolds left Big Huge Games for Zynga, developer and publisher of the most popular games on Facebook,

like FarmVille and Mafia Wars. It was a surprising move, since these games were largely perceived as being less-than-compelling from a design perspective -- and it seemed like a guy with a background in complicated strategy titles cvbjmnjml;io-[98067tyhfb might not fit in with the casual, social bent of the company. Since that time, it's become more and more apparent that social games are on the rise;

major developers of console and PC games, on the other hand, have shut down and had layoffs. Many people will be making the transition to the cvnhjm;p90-7763e4rfdcvbnn, new market whether they want to or not. The good news is that Reynolds, however, has a genuine enthusiasm and interest for the space. Here, he details what he finds most fascinating, challenging,

and cvjhniytywsedfvcx exciting about his work at Zynga. When you made the leap, were you anticipating the market transition, or did you just see an opportunity that you liked? BR: Well, the interesting thing for me and my sort of life story in general -- I mean, I've been making games 19 and a half years, something like that -- is that usually, the kind of game I'm making, I'm making it because, partially, it's the thing that I'm addicted to right now. (Laughs) Like, I see new kinds of games,

and I want to make 'em, and then I kind of learn about them and do them for awhile... and whatever's the next thing and so on. There was also the sort of serendipitous ngueirtkfjdxq timing of my company, after we had sold it... to THQ and THQ resold it; well, that let me off all my covenants and stuff. It was like, "Hey! I'm " I was dismayed that a hunter didn't work out, because I always deemed it the default starter class for new players. At least it was for me.Then came the paladin. Oh, blessed paladin, how she loves thee. At first, all she had to do was run up to the mob and hit it with Judgement of Light.
a free man! I can do what I want!" Facebook games were what I was playing.

I had gotten back in touch with an old friend from EA who was now a VC for Zynga, and I was playing Scramble and Mafia Wars and that kind of stuff. So I wanted to make cvnjmuyio078664wesfdvcb one, and at the same time, it was clear that Facebook was taking off. I knew that Zynga was kind of right then starting to pull away as the biggest player in the space, so it seemed like this was a good chance to get onto something -- I didn't predict that FarmVille was going to go boom and all that stuff. It wasn't like I'm some kind of financial investment genius; no, I just kind of vote with my feet,

of what I want to make and what's cool and what's exciting. "...now you have to convince people to pay you on a regular basis ... is that creatively interesting?" Absolutely! Look at the coin-op origins of the industry... Designing games for the Arcade forced us to "engage" players to a greater degree than retail games ... since the success of an Arcade Game was always dependent on getting the person who just "lost the game" to immediately insert another quarter. (...Whereas those who those who design games solely for retail sales don't really have to worry about anything beyond the sale of the title.) This is exactly why I believe that coin-op Arcade Design skills might be particularly well suited for Social game design,

and it's why I'll be making the transition myself, as the Director of Development at a new Social Start-Up, later this Month. (wish me Luck)xll

THIS MOST UNBELIEVABLE  PRESIDENT?

HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO  REQUIRE THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR  INJURIES.

Bad press, including major  mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama  abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health  insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the  federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel  received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted  that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his  proposal.

"Look, it's an all  volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to  war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine  about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I  thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their  country, "Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money.  With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history,  I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to  help reduce the nation's deficit.. I guess I underestimated  the  selfishness of some of  my fellow Americans."

Please pass this on to every  one including every vet and their families whom you know. How in  the world did a person with this mindset become our  leader?

REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT.... "Nobody made these guys  go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they  whine about bearing the costs of  their choice?" -Pres Obama

If he thinks he will ever get  another vote from an Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard  service member or veteran of a military service he ought to think it  over.. If you or a family member is or has served their country  please pass this to them.

Please pass this to  everyone.  I'm guessing that other than the 20-25 percent hardcore liberals in  the US will agree that this is just another example why this is the  worst president in American history. Remind everyone over and over  how this man thinks, while he bows to the Saudi Arabian  king.

I have never played piano at church. I'm the church soloist and I'm cool with that!

As the universe would have it I have to do some piano playing while the REAL piano player (Anthony Lawson) who has played for some of the gospel greats go through surgery and the healing process. HE TELLS ME, "Just go to the piano every Sunday that you're there and play with the organist for the choir and for yourself."

I was quiet for a minute and then I said, "You know I only have electronic gear for recording. I don't have an acoustic piano to practice on, I don't know if I can do that." (Miss Positive Thinker, right? Lol) He said, "You can do more than you think you can." We both concluded that it would be good for me. So I'm practicing on my son's keyboard getting mentally ready for the challenge. Now I'm craving my baby grand piano more than ever so it will come. This is going to be funny and interesting. Lol!!

Is this man crazy?

24 May 2010 - 09:42
By Just Plain Darren

He sets new bizarre record.

A Chinese martial arts expert has pulled an aeroplane for five metres. Nothing unusual in that. Except that he did with a rope attached to his eyelids!

50-year old Dong Changsheng carried out the stunt in Jilin province over the weekend.

It took him less than a minute to pull the half-a-tonne aircraft for five metres!

Dong has been practicing kung fu for nearly 40 years, and has collected numerous awards for his skills.

"I have pulled a car with my eyelids before but this was the first time with an aeroplane," he said.

"To be honest, I didn't use my full strength and I think I could probably pull it three times the distance.

"I have built up the body strength to do this but it would be very dangerous for ordinary people so I don't want anyone to copy me."

Living with integrity means:

  • Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships.
  • Asking for what you want and need from others.
  • Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension.
  • Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values.
  • Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe.

10 Secrets Every Beauty Editor Knows That You Should, Too (By Valerie Monroe)

O, The Oprah Magazine  |  April 13, 2010

All secret societies accumulate a treasury of their own uncommon wisdom, and the league of beauty editors is no exception. Here, all in one place for the first time, is the best insider intelligence.

1. The one thing we always drink to: water. But forget the rule about eight glasses a day-just drink enough so that you're not thirsty. Though there's no link between how much water you consume and how hydrated your skin is, when I'm parched, my complexion looks flaky and dry. Also: If you drink a glass of water before each meal, you'll be less inclined to overeat.

2. Sunscreen is the closest thing we have to a fountain of youth. Use at least SPF 15 every day, rain or shine. UV radiation is the major source of skin cancer and accelerated aging of the skin, both of which can occur without tanning or other visible signs of damage, says Steven Wang, MD, director of dermatologic surgery and dermatology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center at Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

3. You can conjure up a prettier complexion while you sleep...with the magic of retinoids. Still the gold standard of topical skincare ingredients, vitamin-A derivative prescription retinoids (like Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac) stimulate new collagen, exfoliate your pores, and encourage cell turnover, says Mary P. Lupo, MD, clinical professor of dermatology at Tulane Medical School. Add a retinoid to your nighttime beauty routine.

4. Always treat your hands and neck the way you treat your face. The skin on the neck is thinner than the skin on the face, yet most women don't care for it as well. Same goes for the hands. After you apply a treatment (like a retinoid or antioxidant serum) to your face, rub it on your neck and the backs of your hands, too.

5. For the price of a tube of self-tanner, you can look as if you spent a month on the Riviera. Apply a moisturizing body lotion that includes a self-tanner to hide spider veins on your legs and to get a slimming effect all over.

6. There's gold in them thar drugstores. Take advantage of the bounty of inexpensive cleansers, moisturizers, and treatments that work just as well as (or better than) luxury brands. The large cosmetic companies that produce drugstore products want you to be loyal to them, so they don't skimp on their research and development.

7. Facials can be expensive, but luminosity is free. The fastest way to better skin tone doesn't cost a dime. Exercising gives you improved circulation and oxygen capacity, which causes the blood vessels in the skin to dilate, says Steven Dayan, MD, clinical assistant professor in the division of facial plastic surgery at the University of Illinois. The result? That healthy glow everyone's aiming for.

8. We never met an antioxidant we didn't like. Free radicals-certain kinds of molecules that can build up in your body and damage proteins and DNA-hasten the aging process, says Dayan. Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables that contain antioxidants like coenzyme Q10, and vitamins A, C, and E can help reverse some of that damage. Applying antioxidants topically can also help.

9. One impeccable, classic haircut is worth more than all the styling products in the world. A haircut is a little like a dress: If you start out with terrific tailoring, accessorizing is unnecessary (but still can be lots of fun).

10. Good deeds = good looks. If you do something that makes you feel great about yourself, you're more likely to wear a happy expression. And studies have shown that a person who looks happy is perceived as more attractive than the same person who looks sad, says Dayan. So do something kind for someone. While you're at it, smile. And, for Pete's sake, be sure you're wearing sunscreen.
